July was my first month trying out the Ipsy Glam Bag subscription service. If you are not familiar with the company, Ipsy is a makeup discovery service that sends you 4-5 sample products each month to try out and hopefully love enough to buy the full size. I was generally excited to receive my first bag but the products were not necessarily my favorite. I received:
I swatched the Bare Minerals shadow on the back of my hand but I really do not know if I like the color. I am also not a huge fan of Bare Minerals products overall so this may also be why I am not fond of the eye shadow. The formula does go on nicely but I will probably never use and will give to a friend. I love nail polish but this color (a sparkly peach) washes out my skin so I will also probably gift to a friend who can appreciate it. I will admit I am not brave enough to try the Elizabeth Mott Tints and Sass. I may try it one day to see what all the hype is about but I will have to tone it down as it is quite red. Surprisingly enough I tried the Hang Ten Tanning Oil and loved it! I used it post shower and shave on my legs and it was quite moisturizing and made them feel silky smooth. The Clear Clinic labs spot treatment was something I looked forward to receiving but once I tried it I did not like very much. It tingled when applying but a few days after using there was no real difference for me. I will stick to my oxy spot treatment. Overall I give this bag a 2.5 out of 5. I loved the pink bag and surprisingly the tanning oil. I was excited to get nail polish it just wasn't the color for me, hence the half star. I'm going to keep getting the bag for a couple months to see if I like it more. Here's to better months ahead! If you would like to join me on Ipsy you can subscribe using my referral link.
